Azerbaijan won the 2011 Eurovision Sing Contest on Sunday (15 / 5), and won major awards with a love song in 23 countries, the annual competition which is watched by more than 100 million people.
Eldar Gasimov and Niga Jamal, known as Ell / Nikki, won with their duet "Running Scared". Italy occupied the second place, while Sweden in third place in the 56th annual contest that.
The competition was broadcast live from the Atlantic Ocean to the Caspian Sea.
Eurovision Singing Contest has become a place for launching an international career. Swedish pop group ABBA became famous after winning in 1974 with "Waterloo" and Celine Dion from Canada won the main award in 1988, while playing for Switzerland
