Andy Lau science fiction film starring Mandarin

Mandarin-language film market is already full of film history and kung fu epic. Andy Lau was hoping her latest film is undeniably science fiction movies would become a pioneer in Mandarin.

Actor, singer 48-year-old was attending the premiere of her latest film "Future X-Cops" in Hong Kong last Wednesday. In the film, Lau plays a cop from the year 2085 back to the year 2015 in order to protect a teenager who later would become a great scientist.

"We've taken the first steps to make science fiction movies. My hope as many people will try to make a movie of this kind. Hopefully the ability and talent and we will continue to increase (the result) is not too far Western science fiction films, "Lau said the reporter.

"We want to present something new to the audience. People already watch a lot of action movies. They have also been watching a lot of comedy, "said director Wong Jing.

The film which also starred actress Fan Bing Bing and Barbie Hsu was facing a big challenge after the success of "Avatar". Besutan work of James Cameron is indeed a great success on the mainland.

"Future X-Cops" is the first film since Lau caught lying to the public about the status of marriage for the sake of maintaining its image as a bachelor. In a TV interview last February, Lau denied that he was married.

But Hong Kong's journalists managed to find a document which the marriage with his girlfriend Lau Malaysian Carol Chu. Marriage was performed in the United States in June 2008. Lau then forced to submit an apology to the public.

Fortunately, fame Lau is not influenced by the lie. Seen at the premiere of the film, he was greeted shouts of about 200 fans at the exit stage at a popular mall in Causeway Bay shopping area.
