Jakarta: Scourging wide criticism from some elements of society in the country, President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono was awarded the Gold Standard Awards category of political communication. President Yudhoyono is considered as a successful political communicator after setting aside the other finalists, including the Prime Minister of Thailand Abhisit Vejjajiva.
Acceptance of the award represented Edi Baskoro, SBY's son at the Press Foreign Correspondence Club, Hong Kong, Thursday (4 / 2) night. Award from the institution Affairs Public Policy, a global publishing organization that publishes a variety of media and analysis based in Hong Kong.
President Yudhoyono nominated Hans Vriens of Vriens and Partners. They assess SBY successfully communicate various policies and abroad effectively, so that the president was reelected for a second time. Awards fell on SBY through selection by a panel of judges consisting of nine practitioners of corporate and public communications.
In addition to the category of political communication, media transparency of institutions this year awarded to Pembrantasan Corruption Commission of Thailand.
